Our Sunday Free Class exists to provide something many reactive dog owners struggle to find: a reactive dog social community that is safe, supportive, and genuinely helpful — not overwhelming or confrontational.
This class is not about forcing socialisation, greeting other dogs, or “seeing how it goes.” It’s about creating the right environment for dogs to practice being dogs while learning calm, neutral responses around controlled distractions.
What the Free Class Is For
The goal of the Sunday class is to help dogs and owners work on:
-
Engagement with their handler
-
Neutrality around dogs on lead
-
Calm exposure to people and movement
-
Regulation at a safe distance
-
Existing below threshold, not pushing past it
This is a reactive dog social community where distance is respected, space is protected, and no dog is put in a position where they feel the need to react.
Dogs remain on lead, there is no face-to-face interaction, and distractions are intentionally controlled to prevent escalation.
How to Use the Class to Your Benefit
The class works best when you treat it as practice, not a test.
You’re encouraged to:
-
Focus on engagement rather than proximity
-
Reward calm behaviour and check-ins
-
Observe your dog’s body language
-
Advocate for space when needed
-
Leave early if your dog is struggling
Progress doesn’t come from getting closer — it comes from staying regulated.
This is why the reactive dog social community model works: dogs learn that they can exist around triggers without pressure, confrontation, or conflict.
Who This Class Is (and Isn’t) For
This class is ideal for:
-
Reactive dogs who need controlled exposure
-
Owners who want to build confidence and handling skills
-
Dogs who struggle with over-arousal or frustration
-
People looking for community, not judgement
It may not be suitable for dogs who are already rehearsing intense reactions without foundational engagement skills. In those cases, a 1-to-1 is recommended first to set both dog and handler up for success.
More Than a Class — A Community
At its core, this is a reactive dog social community built on understanding, patience, and realistic expectations.
There is no pressure to “fix” your dog.
There is no comparison.
There is only progress, at your dog’s pace.
And sometimes, the biggest win is simply being able to exist — calmly, safely, and together.
